MEET RADY RURE, FOUNDER AND DIRECTOR OF CESHEO
At the age of 5 years old my parents went missing and I became an orphan. I survived the streets by laboring on rice farms in exchange for food and shelter, but most nights I was forced to sleep amongst the cattle for warmth.
Until the age of 10, survival was my daily task. One day I saw children walking into a school. I tried to sneak in but the teacher stopped me and kicked me out. From then on, everyday, I would sneak outside and watch the class through a hole in the wall so I could learn.
That was until I was caught by the Director of the school. Instead of punishing me he took me to town and bought me school supplies. From that day forward I never stopped studying. When I turned 18 I was the only student in High School who could speak English out of 3000 students so I began mentoring them while also working part-time.
Thus were the seeds of CESHEO which I established in 2010 out of my humble household, teaching children English and practical work skills so that their education can foster a healthy and successful future. As more children in the village heard about my class the confines of my living room space were pushed to its limits. A formal classroom was built and the first school was opened later that same year.
